Susheela Raman, Rita Morar, Talvin Singh, and Nasha Experience all gave their best performances and raised a lot of cash, signed cds for the 10 exclusive items of the prize draw and we all danced ecstatically until the end of the night!

Feeling dizzy? There might have been a "Beaner" around!

Hello fellow Nomads!
Back on track with our blog updating and sharing the love as well as the feed of the massive event we had with Beaner,Canary Fontaine and Yoco & Coco that completely blew our minds off!
Your feedback and comments were so BIG before the event event started and thank you is not enough-we wouldn't even dream to have such a wild time, all artists were 'groovilicious'! Beaner combined his San Fransisco character with some spicy 'Berlin aroma'.Canary Fontaine and Yoco & Coco gave out their best sets in an unconventionally way.

The proof is at the pictures you can see on our web site and our the web,but here's the link: http://www.nomadlondon.com/oldevents/lokee/

Thank you!It will happen again very soon...oh yes just next week!

Beaner time!

On Saturday the 4th of September Nomad will be inviting ingenious producer and Bar 25's playful resident Beaner.
The introduction for this diverse artist with the incredible skills on decks is not easy to describe in words. Beaner is best to be seen in action on stage, where he is more able to 'show off' his irresistible technique while on a constant non stop dance mode.
Pablo Roman-Alcalá-his real name-was born in San Fransisco and moved to electronic music's 'Mecca' Berlin, where he has kept himself busy with his music activities.
Described as " a true conceptualist that follows the tiniest inkling, the most fleeting of desires" in one of the latest very ravishing reviews that's been written for his "Denis Johnson" EP -released on Thema this July- Beaner will surly impress you with his very groovy 'routine'. 2010 is definitely his year with many successful releases and remixes on leading labels and there's much more to come.
His performance at Nomad will also be a debut appearance for Beaner in UK and it's definitely an additional reason to make us even more excited to be presenting him to you.

Artists that will join him on the same night will be striking dj/producer Canary Fontaine (Mean,Serialism) and the infamous Yoco & Coco duo (Minimal Carnival,lo*kee) with a promise to keep you dancing until your shoes will melt!

11pm-5am

Free before 11pm/RA tickets for £5/discounted flyers /more on the door.
Always look out for our generous give outs!
Send your names on promo@nomadlondon.com and we will send you the details!

2 weeks of Nomad blast!

Dear friends,

we had been a bit absent with posting news on our blog. There's a lot of work in progress that had to be finished, including focusing on the official opening of Nomad Club that has now been moved to the last weekend of September 2010!
As promised we kept our music programming to high standards and hosted events with widely known artists like Akiko Kiyama (Saturday 21st of August) as well as adding more strong acts on the last Bank Holiday weekend.
Franklin De Costa(Curle,Sender,Trapez) flew from Berlin, Oliver Ho aka Raudive, head honcho of Multi Vitamins records Doudou Malicious and producer Jason Glanville, London based upcoming artists Carlo and Maik Yells of Neovinyl Recordings,Franz Kirmann and Alex Font.

To start with,we had the appearance of Akiko Kiyama with a new live set, alongside lo*kee residents Nisekay and Sebastian Voigt and we've got such a fantastic response, the night was fantastic.A lot of dancing, clapping,'intellectual' sweating(!)-don't worry you all looked good- and smiling as well as very nice comments about the venue and our bar stuff.
Akiko was on fire, her set was 'groovilicious'.Nisekay and Sebastian Voigt of lo*kee also succeeded to keep the crowd dancing until the lights were turned on and everybody was asking for the last 'bomb' track to finish the night-and you bet they got it!
We also had two exceptionally good events to follow last Bank holiday weekend with first on Friday the 27th of August with the birthday bash of Doudou Malicious that was unstoppable,a very hot set from Oliver Ho aka Raudive and a reunion of artists, friends and fans of the label that made us extremely satisfied.
It was Franklin De Costa's turn (Saturday the 28th of August)that arrived straight from Berlin to present his trademark sound at Nomad.Franklin was at his coolest form we must say and we were very proud to be hosting him in London.

We are now keeping up the good work and the venue is still changing daily. There's going to be more changes on the floor downstairs-although it does look very 'cosy'-, a second dj booth with the same set up as upstairs,a big screen with video art and a visual connection with our main room upstairs. We are also working on the lighting, stronger soundsystem on both rooms and the roof terrace -smoking area- that's going to be ready for our official opening weekend.

That's all the news for now.Look out for more news of our next event this Saturday with another guest from Berlin and a line up of remarkable artists.
More info on the post to follow :)

Thank you for all the love.
Please keep showing us more ,we have so much more to give back to you.

Last track that made you dance :
