2 weeks of Nomad blast!

Dear friends,

we had been a bit absent with posting news on our blog. There's a lot of work in progress that had to be finished, including focusing on the official opening of Nomad Club that has now been moved to the last weekend of September 2010!
As promised we kept our music programming to high standards and hosted events with widely known artists like Akiko Kiyama (Saturday 21st of August) as well as adding more strong acts on the last Bank Holiday weekend.
Franklin De Costa(Curle,Sender,Trapez) flew from Berlin, Oliver Ho aka Raudive, head honcho of Multi Vitamins records Doudou Malicious and producer Jason Glanville, London based upcoming artists Carlo and Maik Yells of Neovinyl Recordings,Franz Kirmann and Alex Font.

To start with,we had the appearance of Akiko Kiyama with a new live set, alongside lo*kee residents Nisekay and Sebastian Voigt and we've got such a fantastic response, the night was fantastic.A lot of dancing, clapping,'intellectual' sweating(!)-don't worry you all looked good- and smiling as well as very nice comments about the venue and our bar stuff.
Akiko was on fire, her set was 'groovilicious'.Nisekay and Sebastian Voigt of lo*kee also succeeded to keep the crowd dancing until the lights were turned on and everybody was asking for the last 'bomb' track to finish the night-and you bet they got it!
We also had two exceptionally good events to follow last Bank holiday weekend with first on Friday the 27th of August with the birthday bash of Doudou Malicious that was unstoppable,a very hot set from Oliver Ho aka Raudive and a reunion of artists, friends and fans of the label that made us extremely satisfied.
It was Franklin De Costa's turn (Saturday the 28th of August)that arrived straight from Berlin to present his trademark sound at Nomad.Franklin was at his coolest form we must say and we were very proud to be hosting him in London.

We are now keeping up the good work and the venue is still changing daily. There's going to be more changes on the floor downstairs-although it does look very 'cosy'-, a second dj booth with the same set up as upstairs,a big screen with video art and a visual connection with our main room upstairs. We are also working on the lighting, stronger soundsystem on both rooms and the roof terrace -smoking area- that's going to be ready for our official opening weekend.

That's all the news for now.Look out for more news of our next event this Saturday with another guest from Berlin and a line up of remarkable artists.
More info on the post to follow :)

Thank you for all the love.
Please keep showing us more ,we have so much more to give back to you.

Last track that made you dance :
Green Velvet-La la land
